Fall 2019 BAYS Sportsmanship Awards

Fall 2019 BAYS Sportsmanship Award

.Monarchs

The Concord-Carlyle Monarchs boys’ grade 4 team, coached by Jeff Furman and assisted by Kevin Neijstrom and Matt Kilmartin has been selected to receive the Fall 2019 Sportsmanship Award.

It should be noted that the team was recognized for demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship throughout the season and that all of the coaches were recognized for emphasizing sportsmanship during their previous coaching seasons as well.

Since the tone is set at the top, Jeff is to be congratulated for setting the proper example for his staff, parents and players every season.  He is a credit to his town organization as well as to BAYS in general.

Nominations can be submitted by referees and opposing coaches this season for teams that exhibit examples of outstanding sportsmanship. The deadline to submit nominations for the Spring 2020 season will be announced once the season start date is confirmed.
After considering all of the submissions, and investigating the comments received, the committee will select the team(s) to receive the Spring 2020 BAYS Sportsmanship Award.
It should be noted that to be nominated teams should demonstrate outstanding sportsmanship throughout the season and that both coaches’ and parents’ conduct should be considered as well.
In order to submit a nomination, please click on the link along the left margin of the home page labeled “team sportsmanship nomination” and complete the form you will be taken to.
